Event Series Berlinale Spotlights

Films from the Berlinale sections: Competition, Panorama, Generation, Berlinale Shorts and Forum Expanded on display at the Documentation Centre for Flight, Expulsion, Reconciliation
The Berlinale has been present worldwide for many years with specially curated programmes. Berlinale Spotlight extends the festival period and makes the Berlinale's activities visible throughout the year.
Following last year's very well-attended Berlinale Spotlights, there will once again be a Spotlight programme at the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation in Berlin from November 11 2025, which will also be a venue for the European Film Market again in February 2026. Five Spotlight events are planned for November and December. Admission is free. Tickets can be booked via www.f-v-v.de.
On Tuesday, November 11, the Competition will present the festival favourite Yunan as a preview; the official cinema release in Germany is on November 13. On Wednesday, November 26, Panorama will screen the film Khartoum, which was supported by the Berlinale's World Cinema Fund. On Thursday, December 18, Generation will screen the films Autokar and Los Lobos in a morning programme for school classes and other groups, as well as in the evening for the general public. Finally, on German Short Film Day on Sunday, 21 December, Forum Expanded and Berlinale Shorts will present the two films Mua besoj më shpëtoj portreti and Prekid vatre about the wars in Yugoslavia and their consequences.
The Berlinale Spotlight: Competition, Panorama, Generation, Berlinale Shorts and Forum Expanded is a collaboration between the Documentation Centre for Flight, Expulsion, Reconciliation and the European Film Market (EFM) of the Berlinale.
Admission to all events is free. Tickets can be booked in advance at www.f-v-v.de.
