Berlinale Spotlight – Competition: „Yunan“

Munir (Georges Khabbaz) has fled to Germany and lives here as a writer in exile. He suffers from the fact that he can never return to his homeland. On a remote island in the North Sea, Munir seeks solitude to reflect on the final act of his life. He finds unexpected comfort in the company of Valeska (Hanna Schygulla), whose compassion revives his fading courage to face life.
