Words connect us

‘Words connect us’- our creative writing workshop takes this phrase literally. For those who are forced to leave everything behind in order to find a new home elsewhere, words are among the few things they can take with them: they are their language, their stories.
We will explore the exhibition together, looking at different routes of displacement, before we pick up a pen ourselves. We will put our thoughts into words, whether in the form of stories, poems or short fragments. Words will become the bridges between different languages, stories and biographies. Our creative writing workshop offers a space for those who like to experiment with words and language. We will become co-creative, inspiring one another. Writing within a group environment and learning together will turn into a conversation from which we can all learn.
The workshop languages are German, English and Polish; you can write in any and all of these languages.
The workshop is run by Natalie Wasserman und Karolina Kuszyk
This is a cooperation between the Documentation Centre Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation and the SprachCafé Polnisch.
