Posts, Reels, Stories – Displacement from Yugoslavia on Social Media

TikTok, Instagram and podcasts are opening up new spaces for voices that often go unheard in traditional media. People whose families fled the former Yugoslavia share their memories, explain the war, flight and expulsion, and talk about consequences that continue to reverberate across generations. But where opportunities for visibility and exchange arise, disinformation and nationalist narratives also spread. When do social media become a place of solidarity, and where do they turn into a danger?
