Workshop: Painting as a way to express inner feelings. Biographical workshop

The workshop is led by artist Erika Möwius (Berlin) and the president of the Women's Association, Hiltrud Leber (Rohrbach/Bavaria).
In her artistic work, Erika Möwius has addressed the fate of her grandparents in Banat. The Women's Association focuses in particular on remembrance, integration and understanding. This includes supporting people in coming to terms with their experiences of flight and expulsion and showing them ways of dealing with transgenerational trauma.
This workshop invites participants to engage artistically with their own experiences and memories as well as those passed down through their families. Expressing something artistically allows space for feelings and helps to find expression for the unspoken. Artistic work mobilises unexpected inner strengths. It is a conceivable way of respectfully accepting experiences as part of one's own biography and destiny.
